Liverpool's proposed deal for Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton could please fans from a financial point of view.

The Reds are determined to strengthen their squad with midfield signings for manager Jurgen Klopp.

Various media outlets in England and Argentina have suggested a deal for Mac Allister is all but done.

However, the reported £60 million fee could be exaggerated, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

He states that Liverpool are close to a deal, but that “it's way less than this [£60m], so a bargain, a very good deal for Liverpool."

The Reds were previously linked to Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund, but appear to have given up on that deal.
