Liverpool board inform Klopp of key transfer policy change

Liverpool chiefs only want to buy readymade starters this summer.

Goal says Jurgen Klopp has been told the Reds will not spend big money on players who will not immediately start for the club.

Liverpool chiefs have made a policy decision which means they are not willing to sanction big-money fees for players they do not feel would immediately break into the first 11.

Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt had been a long-term target for the Reds but he signed for Borussia Dortmund this week.

It is believed Klopp ideally wants to bring in a minimum of one versatile attacking player and Liverpool have been linked with several dynamic forwards recently.

Lille winger Nicolas Pepe has lit up Ligue 1 this season, contributing 22 goals and 11 assists in 37 games.
