Liverpool are chasing a deal for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

Abendzeitung says Werner is one of the most coveted frontmen in European football and has dropped a massive hint that he could join Bayern Munich.

But Jurgen Klopp's side are also in the hunt to land the 22-year-old.

Werner has been scouted by the Reds on numerous occasions and he's being discussed as a target.

The striker has said this week: "There are other clubs in the picture. If you play in Germany and want to stay in Germany, there is only one club in question (Bayern)."
