Liverpool are lining up a pre-contract offer for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

L'Equipe says the Reds are on alert with the midfielder's deal at PSG expiring at the end of this season.

Barcelona, however, are said to be weighing up a move this summer as the European transfer window continues to trade until the end of August.

“It's not certain if Adrien stays at PSG. It all depends on him," PSG boss Thomas Tuchel said this weekend. “For me he's a great player. He can grow even more and become a top player."

Rabiot - who has admitted he was 'very fond' of Liverpool as a youngster - has previously spoken of his desire to play in the Premier League.
