Liverpool have asked Lille to name their price for Boubakary Soumare.

The exciting midfield talent is being linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs this month, including Chelsea and Manchester United.

Le 10 Sport says Liverpool have jumped into the battle this week with an approach to Lille.

The Reds have made it clear they want to discuss terms for Soumare, though it's not been confirmed whether it will be for a January deal or June.

For his part, LOSC president Gerard Lopez is willing to sell, but also wants the deal to include Soumare being loaned back for the remainder of the season.
