Liverpool and Arsenal have turned down the chance to sign free agent Max Meyer.
BILD says Liverpool have turned down the chance to sign Meyer on a free transfer this summer.
Meyer was widely tipped to join Bayern Munich in January when his contract was running down, but Marseille are the new front-runners for the deal.
The German was apparently requesting somewhere in the region of £4m-per-year, leading to the Reds, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Fenerbahce turning up their nose at a deal.
Meyer's agent Roger Wittmann has links with Marseille, however, and both parties are now in talks.
