Liverpool and 'well liked' Kostas Tsmikas happy with his progress

Liverpool and Kostas Tsmikas are happy with his progress this season.

The Greek international joined the Premier League champions last summer in an £11million move from Olympiacos. But the left-back has not made much of an impact on the pitch since his arrival at Anfield.

The 24-year-old has been and will continue to be patient for his opportunities in the Liverpool side playing second fiddle to the likes of Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and even James Milner at full back, reports the Athletic.

But, according to the report, he is 'making progress' on the training field under manager Jurgen Klopp and building his knowledge of how to play the position in the Reds' fast-paced style of football.

Tsmikas has also made himself a well-liked figure in the dressing room and has struck up a friendship with club talisman Mohamed Salah.

The left-back has played just five minutes in the Premier League this season after he featured against Manchester City in their 4-1 defeat at Anfield.
