Liverpool and Chelsea will have to make do with only 5,257 tickets each for the UEFA Super Cup in August.

Many English fans were unhappy at the paltry ticket allocations for the Champions League and Europa League finals respectively.

UEFA has doubled down on their stance, offering less than 6,000 tickets to each of the teams for the showpiece event at the Vodafone Park stadium in Istanbul.

Despite it being a 38,000 seater stadium, it appears less than a third will be filled with fans from either of the teams who are participating in the game.

The rest of the tickets go to sponsors, hospitality and other purposes.

Ticket prices will range from €50 (£45) to €150 (£135).
