Liverpool and Challenger Sports continue with residential football courses

Liverpool and Challenger Sports have signed a new long-term partnership which will see the continued delivery of residential football school courses in the UK, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The Premier League club and the football education provider first teamed up two years ago to offer Liverpool International Academy football courses in the summer, which have attracted participants from 50 countries.

As well as football coaching, the courses teach children aged ten to 17 to lead others through English language activities. This new agreement between the pair will see the introduction next year of further girls' courses, a goalkeeper-specific offering and an advanced option for teams who wish to attend.

Courses are delivered through a combination of player workshops and practical coaching sessions that follow the Liverpool academy curriculum.

Dan White, head of Liverpool's international academy program, said: "Our residential soccer school has been hugely successful since it launched in the UK two years ago, and has created many fantastic opportunities for young players from around the world to improve their skills and be developed via our unique coaching system.

"We are absolutely delighted to be continuing our relationship with our partner Challenger Sports to provide opportunities for young players to visit the UK to be coached the Liverpool Way."
