Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah declared surprise when learning Manchester City defeated Leicester City on Saturday.

Hours after the result, Salah had helped the Reds defeat Flamengo in the Club World Cup final.

The Egyptian declared on BeIN Sports: “Oh really? They lost 3-1? No, there's still so much time left, you know that.

“Sure, that's a good day with Manchester City winning.

“But as you know, last year drew two or three games in a row.

“This made it really hard for us, so I feel like we should focus on each match and see what happens."

The Reds are 10 points clear of the Foxes and have a game in hand.
