Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is set to hand manager Jurgen Klopp a 2020 headache.
By reaching the final of today's Africa Under-23 Cup of Nations, Egypt have secured a spot at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Salah, 27, could appear as one of three over-age players — but taking part would rule the Kop king out of boss Jurgen Klopp's plans for the start of next season.
Ahmed Shobeir, the former Egyptian FA vice- president and ex-Pharaohs keeper, revealed: “Salah said he would be ready to play in Tokyo.
“He told the EFA that when he was in Egypt for the international duty.
“There is no problem with Liverpool and his team won't refuse his participation in Tokyo.
“Look to Messi and Neymar, they played with their national teams in the Olympics."
