Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah: Crazy results due to empty stadiums

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah believes the empty stadiums are at the root cause of the crazy scorelines this season.

Games are still being played behind closed doors, although the Reds could welcome up to 4,000 fans back inside Anfield from next month under new Government proposals.

And speaking to the official Liverpool matchday programme, Salah said: "This season has been crazy. The number of goals I never expected and playing without fans of course is crazy.

"I think the fans make a huge difference, you know. The fans give games a different atmosphere and give you a different motivation so I can say this is the main reason for some crazy results.

"There is also some pressure for us because Virgil (van Dijk) used to play every game for the last few years, but now he is injured. In the meantime, other players have to perform. I think the young players have done good."
