Liverpool star Adam Lallana will earn a starting berth ahead of Jamie Vardy during the upcoming European Championships, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Vardy enjoyed a stunning campaign with Leicester City this term and was believed to have a starting spot in Roy Hodgson's XI at his mercy for Euro2016.
In a surprise report from the Daily Mail though, it has been revealed that Hodgson instead prefers Reds star Lallana and as a result, Vardy will have to be content with only a place on the bench in France.
Lallana is expected to start in an attacking midfield role alongside Wayne Rooney and Dele Alli and behind Harry Kane, with Vardy to be used as an impact sub despite the fact he has scored three goals in his past three international outings.
