Liverpool forward Diogo Jota admits his side had to work hard to defeat Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup quarter-final.

The Red rotated their side, but still put out a very strong team, and had to work hard against the Championship outfit.

Forest are in contention for a play-off place, and could be back in the Premier League next season. They did not look out of place against Liverpool.

Asked about the game, scorer Jota stated post-match: "Yeah, finding a way. Tough, very tough, today at the end of a cycle with loads of games.

"We needed to do a few changes as well. We fought, we fight really hard and we are in the next round."
