Philippe Coutinho has been dropped from the Brazil national team squad.
The Liverpool playmaker has been omitted from Dunga's 24-man roster for upcoming internationals with Costa Rica and the USA.
Coutinho, 23, has been replaced by veteran Kaka who has been in fine form in his debut MLS season with Orlando City.
Dunga explained his reasons for leaving out Coutinho, who scored a stunning winner against Stoke City on Sunday.
"We gave him a chance at the Copa America," said the boss.
"You can't build with just youngsters, you need experience to help."
Liverpool's summer signing Roberto Firmino was included in the squad for the September 5 meeting with Costa Rica in New Jersey which takes place three days before the clash with the US in Boston.
