Italy coach Marcello Lippi insists Juventus can lift themselves out of their current crisis.
Yesterday he paid a visit to the club's training ground, further fuelling the rumours of a handover with his former Azzurri assistant.
"I continue my meetings with several clubs. I spoke with Ferrara, but we only discussed the Italy squad.
"It has been two to three months since the last international game and I wanted to see how the injured players are doing, as obviously there are concerns for the Nazionale," said Lippi.
"I will watch every match from now until the end of the season and then choose the best."
One of them could be Amauri, who will only be given Italian citizenship from March.
"Everyone hopes for a place in the squad, but before even having that hope, Amauri needs to be Italian. I only speak of Italian players."
