Manchester City launched a world record move for Barcelona captain Leo Messi last year, it has been revealed.
Before he signed his latest contract in November 2017, reports Mundo Deportivo, Messi received a massive contract offer from City.
City owner Sheikh Mansour was prepared to put on the table an incredible €755 MILLION to bring the Argentine to England.
It's claimed Messi was offered a contract worth €50m-a-year, plus a signing-on fee worth €50m and the same for his father, Jorge.
But Messi refused the proposal and instead put pen to paper on a new deal with Barca.
