Jesse Lingard wants Manchester United to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Reports suggest that Ronaldo is unhappy at Juventus as he feels the club did not do enough to surround him with the necessary quality to win the Champions League.

A return to Old Trafford has always been part of the rumours around the Portuguese star. And for his part, Lingard would love the idea of Ronaldo playing at United again.

"I would love to sign Ronaldo," the England international told the Daily Mirror.

"He has been one of the best players in the world over the last decade.

"He has been here before so he would slot right back in.

"Growing up he was just unbelievable to watch in a United shirt, so on a personal note it would be amazing to play with him."
