Chelsea and Roma are set to lock horns over Lille director Luis Campos.
The Blues have been without a technical director for 18 months, while Monchi departed Roma for Sevilla last month.
A former scout for Real Madrid, Campos' popularity has increased this season with Lille sitting a place below PSG on the Ligue 1 table.
The 54-year-old managed four teams in his native Portugal before joining Madrid in 2012.
Lille are demanding £2.6m from interested clubs to sign the Portuguese.
