Ligue 1 side Lille are preparing to make a January swoop for Newcastle United striker Yoan Gouffran.

Gouffran has struggled for minutes on the pitch this season and it is widely expected that the striker will be leaving St James' Park during the winter transfer window.

A move back to France has been touted for former Bordeaux attacker Gouffran and now according to reports from the Chronicle, it has been claimed that Lille are plotting a January move for the 29-year-old.

This season, Gouffran has made just two Premier League appearances for the struggling Magpies.
