Leyton Orient owner wanted by Albanian authorities

Prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for League Two Leyton Orient owner Francesco Becchetti. The Italian is accused by Albanian authorities of fraud-related offences and money laundering.

The charge relates to a failed hydro-electric scheme that allegedly cost the Albanian government tens of millions of euros in grants and unpaid taxes and carries a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.

Orient were unavailable for comment when contacted on Tuesday.
