Levy assures Spurs managerial candidates: Kane won't be sold

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep hold of Harry Kane this summer.

The Mirror reports Manchester City have stepped up their interest and are pushing to get a deal done, although Spurs insist they have yet to receive a formal offer for the England captain.

Chelsea have also made enquiries while Manchester United are watching developments closely but it is City who seem determined to steal a march on their Premier League rivals.

However, Levy is adamant that they will not sell this summer - even though Kane has made it very clear that he wants to leave to try and win trophies at another club.

City boss Pep Guardiola is targeting a big name striker after Sergio Aguero left and that has looked Kane's most likely destination.

But Levy knows that, amid their managerial search which is rapidly becoming a farce, selling Kane would be a devastating blow.

But all the managerial candidates have been told that Kane will be staying even if the search for a new boss has become a farce.
