Former Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Yevhen Levchenko can't see his old club signing Aleksandr Golovin.
But Levchenko told NOS: "(Leonid) Slutsky took him as coach of CSKA Moscow under his wing and later gave him his debut with the national team. For Golovin he is like a second father. That could be a reason why people connect him to Vitesse, where Slutsky is now coach.
"But I think Vitesse is already too small for him."
He continued: "Golovin has been playing in the Champions League for three years and already has a Euros and a World Cup behind his name. It would be a nice stunt for Vitesse, but I do not think he wants it. This is perhaps the most important decision in his life."
