City splashed a whopping £37million to secure the services of Sane from Schalke this summer but due to injury problems, the German international has not yet started for the Citizens.
Following a trio of substitute appearances, Sane has returned to full fitness and now manager Guardiola has gone on to confirm that the youngster is in line to make his debut when City square off against Swansea in the league cup on Wednesday night.
The City boss said: "He was ready to start (against AFC Bournemouth), but I decided to play Nolito.
"Leroy was injured at the beginning - it's much better.
"Now he has had one or two weeks training with us and each day he's getting better. I know his quality.
"He needs minutes and in this next game he is going to get these minutes."
