Leroy Fer insists QPR must stick with Redknapp

QPR midfielder Leroy Fer is desperate for manager Harry Redknapp to stay.

There is talk of Redknapp being sacked if they're beaten at home by Manchester United.

Fer told the London Evening Standard: "I hope he stays, of course. I don't know anything about him leaving.

"I get on with him really good. I like him. He brought me in, he is honest, a good manager with a lot of experience."

The 25-year-old midfielder experienced a change at the helm in a similar situation at near the end of last term when Norwich replaced Chris Hughton with Neil Adams, but the latter failed to keep them up.

He added: "It's true to say that changing a manager is not always a positive thing.

Last season, Norwich weren't in the bottom three until the final few games.

"For me it (the decision to replace Hughton) unsettled me a lot really. Chris Hughton was the manager that brought me in and we had a good relationship.

"We got a new manager and he had his vision on the team and in the last four games I didn't play. That's always not a good thing."
