Soren Lerby can see Ajax football chief Marc Overmars soon fielding offers from Arsenal and Barcelona.

Former Danish star Lerby, now a long time and influential agent, is a big fan of Overmars' work.

And he told De Telegraaf: “If I were Overmars, I would definitely go shopping at PSV, Feyenoord and AZ. Then you yourself become stronger and the competition weaker.

"Bayern Munich did that in recent years with Borussia Dortmund and before with Bayer Leverkusen and HSV. But the other clubs and players of course have the right to say 'no'.

“I think Barcelona and Arsenal will be watching Marc. But I hope he wants to stay with Ajax for a long time."
