Leo Ostigard ready to cut Brighton ties after impressive Genoa start

Brighton defender Leo Ostigard is full of pride after impressing for Genoa against AC Milan this week.

Genoa were narrowly defeated with Ostigard impressing on the night.

He told VG: "It was a little boy's dream come true. I have stood for many hours at Øran Stadium in Åndalsnes and dreamed of playing in one of the big leagues. It is easy to forget all this.

"It is about getting respect early on within the team. It is important to have a good start, and now I have been shown a little of what I am good at."

Ostigard hints he doesn't see a future for himself at Brighton, where he is contracted until 2023.

He stated, "I have always dreamed of playing in Serie A, so this season is about selling myself. Now I have a name in England and Germany, and would like to create one here as well. People forget that it is tougher than you think to take a loan. It's a new league with a different culture. I have put myself in a difficult position by going on loan so many times, so now I would like to settle down soon."
