Lens take Portsmouth to court over unpaid transfer payments

Lens have confirmed they are taking legal action against Portsmouth regarding unpaid fees for Aruna Dindane and Nadir Belhadj. The Fratton Park outfit, who host Arsenal on Wednesday, are already under a Premier League transfer embargo for cash owed to Chelsea, Watford and Rennes.

Lens president Gervais Martel said in the Daily Star: "We are working on it. The Portsmouth case is not only Dindane. It is also money for Belhadj, which has not arrived.

"We are taking action against the club through the European football tribunals as well as the civil courts.

"We have to move forward on the assumption Portsmouth cannot afford to pay us.

"It's a deal that has been done since he (Dindane) had to play 11 games to activate the option to buy. He has already played 11 games."
