Sunderland's new signing Jeremain Lens proved to be the only bright spot for the Black Cats in their 2-0 defeat against Doncaster Rovers at Keepmoat.

Cedric Evina and Harry Forrester scored the goals for the League One club.

The Holland midfielder, who joined the Black Cats from Dynamo Kiev this summer, had several decent efforts on goal but failed to find the back of the net for Dick Advocaat's side. Sunderland will begin their league campaign against Leicester City on 8th August.
