Lennon salutes Celtic after 14th straight win

Celtic made it 14 Scottish Premiership wins on the trot on the weekend when defeating St Johnstone 3-0 at Parkhead.

An Anthony Stokes hat-trick extended the unbeaten streak to 25 games this season, pushing the reigning champions 21 points clear at the top of the table.

After the match, Hoops manager Neil Lennon spoke highly of his side who were disappointing when losing in the Scottish Cup to Aberdeen last weekend.

"I am very happy. It was a brilliant performance almost from start to finish," the Celtic manager said. "I couldn't be happier with the performance or with the support we got today.

"I thought (Nir) Biton was superb today. (Leigh) Griffiths worked tirelessly for the team and I've yet to mention my hat-trick hero. He's a good player, Anthony. Overall this season, he has been excellent. A lot of players can be very pleased with their contribution today."
