Celtic boss Neil Lennon doesn't expect former Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill to return to Parkhead.
Hoops chairman John Reid opened the door for O'Neill to return to the SPL giants, providing Lennon wanted to bring the former Celtic boss back to the club in a senior capacity.
The Northern Irishman, who left the Glasgow outfit five years ago to care for his sick wife Geraldine, quit his post as Aston Villa manager earlier this month after a row over transfer funding at the Premier League club.
But Lennon, who played under O'Neill during his playing days, has virtually dismissed any chance of a reunion.
"It would be an option, but whether Martin would want to do it is another thing," said the Celtic boss in The Guardian ahead of their Europa League clash with Utrecht on Thursday.
"I've not spoken about that to anyone and I'm not sure it's something Martin would entertain, to tell the truth."
