Leicester will aim for Champions League next season says Foxes defender Simpson

Full-back Danny Simpson has boldly claimed that Leicester City will look to finish in the top four next season.

After claiming the Premier League title last season against all odds, Leicester City endured a difficult campaign this term and only managed to avoid relegation following the appointment of Craig Shakespeare as manager.

Despite the struggles, defender Danny Simpson is looking forward to next season in a positive frame of mind and believes that the Foxes are now capable of finishing in the top four.

Simpson said: "It's Leicester - anything is a possibility! Playing in Europe this season was great and we want that again. We'll have a good break now and come back in pre-season and see what squad we've got.

"I'm pretty sure that's something we'll be trying to get again and I'm sure that's not only what we want but something the owners want as well.

"I've learnt with the games, the level of the Champions League, you can't take your foot off the gas. Next season we won't be having European games in our fixtures and so we'll have a good go."
