Parlour warns Leicester whizkid Maddison about Arsenal, Tottenham move

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has words of warning for Leicester City star James Maddison.

The youngster has enjoyed a brilliant first season in the Premier League, since moving from Norwich City. Maddison has seven goals and six assists in 32 Premier League appearances this term.

He has attracted interest from the top clubs in the league, including Arsenal and Tottenham. But Parlour believes he may want to hold off on making a big move just yet.

"He's a very good player," Parlour said on talkSPORT.

"Maddison had a poor game on Friday and the service wasn't there for Vardy, but he's a real key player for Leicester City so he'd be worth a lot of money.

"Leicester brought him in from Norwich, took a gamble at £20m. That's at least doubled, or gone to £50m, now. That's the sort of money you'd have to pay for somebody like that, as a young kid.

"He's a top-quality player. You've got to make that big decision because some youngsters will move to a bigger club, and we've seen this happen so many times, and they don't get an opportunity."
