Leicester vice-chairman Aiyawatt: This team can win more trophies

Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha feels they have a squad to challenge for trophies this season.

City spent nearly £70million in the transfer window as well as handing hugely improved contracts to several members of last season's title-winning squad.

Aiyawatt told the Leicester Mercury: "We have made a big reinvestment in the squad because we believe in the club's potential for further success.

"Winning the Premier League was an amazing achievement, but it was never our intention to be satisfied with that.

"We want to keep moving the club forward, to keep striving for more. Our vision for the club has always been one of long-term success.

"That is why we have made long-term investments, not only in new signings, but also in our existing squad – keeping the special spirit that exists at Leicester City while strengthening with fresh quality.

"I'm really pleased with the business we have done.

"I think it shows how ambitious we are and that we're ready to fight for more success."
