Leicester veteran Albrighton: I had offers to leave

Marc Albrighton has confirmed he rejected offers to re-sign Leicester City.

The veteran winger reportedly received interest from Burnley before committing his future to Leicester until the summer of 2024.

He told LeicestershireLive: "There was interest from elsewhere, but Leicester's a club that are building.

"I'll probably have to accept my game-time won't be as much, because I want to play every single minute of every single game, but there's going to be rotation. I've got to be ready, ready for when I'm called upon.

"It was my first game (against Norwich) and although I've not played I've kept myself sharp and I've played a full 90 which will help.

"At a club like Leicester, you heard how vocal the fans were, drowning out the home fans.

"It's a great club to be involved at, and I've had seven amazing years here. I've got at least three more now and if we can win something else, that would be special."
