Leicester to reward Simpson with new deal after he snubs West Ham

Leicester City are to hand defender Danny Simpson a brand new contract, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Simpson played a crucial role in helping Leicester claim a surprise Premier League triumph last season and following his exploits, a number of clubs were said to be interested in the right-back, with West Ham United reportedly having placed a £5million offer late in the window.

Leicester rejected the bid and now according to reports, the champions are looking to tie down Simpson to the King Power Stadium for the foreseeable future by offering him a lucrative new contract.

The new proposal has been in the pipelines for some time but it is understood that pen will be put to paper in the coming weeks.
