Rennes have gone cold on signing Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.

After spending last season on-loan with AS Monaco, Slimani is available from the Foxes this summer.

He had been interesting Champions League qualifiers Rennes, though they have now turned to other options.

Instead, a move to Italy has been mooted for Slimani.
