Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is relishing his role with England.
The 21-year-old has earned his first call-up for the senior international team. He will have a chance to make his Three Lions debut against Spain and Croatia.
"I have been here five minutes but I have worked hard this season and I am very grateful to get the call up," he said.
"I want to try and show everyone why I deserve to be here and I will try and show what I have to offer.
"You have to come here and be yourself. If you come here and act like the new kid or the young lad then I don't think it will work. Gareth said to me: 'Go and showcase what you are about and why you are here'."
