Leicester skipper Morgan fit and firing after busy summer with Jamaica

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan insists he is raring to go following his return to the club after a gruelling summer.

31-year-old Morgan endured a hectic summer following the Foxes' eventually successful Premier League campaign, the defender took part in the Copa America as well as the CONCACAF Gold Cup for the Jamaican national team.

Morgan only recently reported back to training and upon his return, the defender has stated that he is itching to get going as the 2015/16 campaign looms near.

"It's good to be back," Morgan told the club's official website. "The boys have been working hard for a good few weeks now to get ready for the new season and the new lads look to be settling in well too.

"It was good to get a week's break to recharge a little bit after the Gold Cup, but I've played competitively right through the summer, so I feel fit and ready to go.

"Saturday is a big game for us because we want to make sure we start the season well, so everyone's focused on making sure we kick off with three points in front of our home fans."

Leicester, now managed by Claudio Ranieri, kick off the new season with a home fixture against Sunderland on Saturday.
