Leicester rival Everton for Hertha Berlin defender Marvin Plattenhardt

Leicester City are rivaling Everton for Hertha Berlin defender Marvin Plattenhardt.

The Leicester Mercury says the Foxes have made enquiries for Germany left-back Marvin Plattenhardt, according to reports.

The 26-year-old, a surprise inclusion in Joachim Low's World Cup squad, is said to be attracting interest from the Premier League after an impressive season for Hertha Berlin.

Plattenhardt, renowned for his pinpoint crosses and dangerous free-kicks, set up eight goals in 38 games for the capital club, earning him a ticket to Russia.

Along with Foxes, Everton are also in contact with Hertha for Plattenhardt.
