Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has stated that his side belong around the top of the Premier League following the 0-0 draw against Manchester City.
Many felt that the wheels of Leicester's campaign would fall off after the 1-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on Boxing Day but the Foxes displayed a lot of character by earning a credible 0-0 draw against City on Tuesday night.
Skipper Morgan was left very pleased with his side's display during the clash and stated that the positive result against the Citizens proved that the Foxes are not out of place near the top of the Premier League table.
Morgan said: "There were a lot of people looking at the City game who might have thought we would have fallen off after being beaten. But we showed our character. The spotlight was on us and we wanted to bounce back with a positive display.
"We are showing how good we can be as a team. We have played everyone now and we have showed we are more than capable of playing up there with the best of them.
"It has been an incredible year, last season and now this one. We have something to be proud of. We have set a standard for ourselves that we want to maintain."
