Leicester players vote to play Cardiff match

Leicester City players have voted to play this weekend's game with Cardiff City.

The Foxes have confirmed that their Premier League match with Cardiff will go ahead.

The decision was made after the passing of owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was among the victims of Saturday's helicopter crash.

Leicester players were given the chance to vote whether to play their Premier League match against Cardiff this weekend.

But the players were unanimously in favour, reports the Daily Express.

The club confirmed on Tuesday evening the match would go ahead.

Their statement read: “Leicester City's Premier League fixture at Cardiff City this Saturday (3 November) will go ahead as scheduled, as the Club continues its tributes to its late Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

"A minute's silence will be observed before kick-off at the Cardiff City Stadium and players will wear black armbands in Khun Vichai's honour."
