Leicester offer new deals to seven youngsters

Leicester City have offered new contracts to seven young players.

Three are professionals, including Welsh midfielder Oli Ewing. The 19-year-old, who was on the bench for the Europa League defeat at Napoli and the home Conference League win over Randers, played 15 of 26 Premier League 2 fixtures for City this season.

The other two pros to be offered new deals are American goalkeeper Chituru Odunze, who was among the substitutes for the double header with Rennes, and winger Terell Pennant, who is the nephew of former Liverpool wide-man Jermaine and the older brother of City academy striker Kian.

Four scholars have also been offered terms, including some of the club's brightest prospects. Joe Wormleighton is on that list, having stepped up from the Under-18s to the Under-23s towards the end of the season and greatly impressed at right-back.

Midfielder Brandon Cover, centre-back Harvey Godsmark-Ford, and goalkeeper Arlo Doherty, all regulars in the Under-18s' run to the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals, have also received offers.
