Youri Tielemans has discussed signing for Leicester City over the summer.
The club-record £40million arrival of the midfield maestro, who impressed in his six-month loan spell at the King Power Stadium last season, was seen as a massive coup for the Foxes.
Tielemans, 22, was on the radar of both Manchester United and Arsenal over the course of the summer but ultimately left Monaco for familiar surroundings.
"During the transfer window, I was happy of the interest of certain big clubs," Tielemans said.
"I needed to make a choice for my young career and I think it was the right one. To arrive off the back of a €45m transfer doesn't change anything.
"They already knew me at Leicester. My loan spell went very good. I wanted to continue playing in this club."
