Leicester City midfielder Harvey Barnes is delighted with his run under manager Brendan Rodgers.
Recalled from a loan at West Brom, Barnes, only 21, has featured in every Leicester game since January, starting 10 on the run until being used as a substitute at West Ham last Saturday.
"If I felt I wasn't going to get an opportunity here or there was a better pathway somewhere else, then I would consider it, but I was never really thinking about that," Barnes told the Daily Mail.
"I can see why players choose to go down that other route but for me it was about getting experience and making the most of it. The standard is still very good here, lower down the leagues.
"At some clubs it can be hard to break through and, as a home-grown player, you may not get as many chances as someone who has been brought in. So when you get that chance you have to make the most of it."
