Leicester midfielder Albrighton: We need to go back to basics

Leicester City midfielder Marc Albrighton admits they need to regroup after a poor start to the season.

City have three losses and two wins from their opening five Premier League games, and lost a two-goal advantage in their Europa League draw with Napoli.

"We'd like more points on the board, but it's not to be and we've just got to keep plugging away and take it back to basics and hard work. I'm sure the wins will come," Albrighton told Sky Sports.

"It's a long season. Every team will have these sticky patches so we've just got to get ours out of the way and go on and win some games."

Albrighton added: "I'm sure the expectations have gone up. They've gone up in the seven years I've been here, definitely.

"I'm sure over the last couple of years they've gone up even more and that's from us doing what we've done in the last couple of years. We can only be proud of that.

"But as expectations go, we obviously need to fulfil them and it's something that we will do with hard work and (going) back to basics."
