Leicester City have made a £6.9million (€10m) bid for Nice midfielder Nampalys Mendy, according to French publication L'Equipe.
New Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is looking to strengthen his midfield this summer and it was reported that the Italian was eyeing a move for Chelsea pair Nathan Ake and Oriol Romeu.
Now, according to reports from France, it has been claimed that the Foxes have instead placed a sizeable bid for Nice star Mendy.
Despite being just 23, Mendy captained Nice to a commendable 11th place finish in Ligue 1 last season and Ranieri is said to be a big admirer of the midfielder.
