Leicester lodge bid for Burnley defender Keane

Leicester City have reportedly made an £11million offer for Burnley defender Michael Keane.

According to ESPN FC, the Premier League champions have made the bid for the Clarets defender as they seek competition for captain Wes Morgan and veteran Robert Huth.

The 23-year-old centre-half spent time on loan with the Foxes in 2012/13 and it is understood the East Midlands club want him back as they look to defend their English title.

Keane progressed through the Manchester United academy before heading to Leicester prior to temporary spells with Derby County and Blackburn Rovers, ahead of his loan move to Burnley in 2014 and subsequent permanent shift to Turf Moor in January 2015.
