Leicester leave longest serving player out of 25-man squad

Leicester City have left midfielder Andy King out of 25-man Premier League squad for the 2018/19 season.

King is the longest serving City player as he joined the club aged just 15 and has played 378 games since and scored 62 goals.

However, the 29-year-old was well aware his time with the Foxes was coming to an end after spending the second part of last season on loan at Swansea.

The Welshman is the first player to win all three English top divisions with the same team.

Although manager Claude Puel made it clear right back Danny Simpson is not in his plans either, the defender found himself among 25 names on the squad list.
