Leicester keeper Schmeichel visited Eriksen: He's himself and in good spirits

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has revealed he's been able to visit Christian Eriksen in hospital.

The Inter Milan midfielder is stable after suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark's Euro 2020 game with Finland.

Schmeichel said: "I visited him yesterday and he was in good spirits. It was great to see him again.

"He is himself. It has been a terrible experience for everyone. As he said to me, he has not been present to experience it all, so it will probably hit him a little later.

"It is clear that he and his family are very touched by the situation. The most important thing for all of us is that he is well.

"That is what we are committed to and that allows us to try to continue."
